Public records and account data are separate

Official source records determine published competition results. Adult contact requests remain private and separate from those records.

Account registration

New accounts are available to people age 13 and older. Age eligibility is self-declared, not identity verification. Children under 13 may browse public records and make local selections, but cannot register or save predictions to an account. Please do not submit a child's email or other personal details to create an account.

Use a nickname and your own email. Do not include your school, real name or contact details in your nickname. Accounts and saved predictions are private by default. Registration does not authorize marketing, create a public profile or put you on a leaderboard. No stranger messaging is provided.

Minimum necessary data

New prediction signup uses a nickname, email, password handled by Netlify Identity, declared age band, email confirmation status and accepted privacy version. Birth month and year are used locally to calculate the age band and are not sent or saved. A necessary age-declaration cookie prevents returning within the same browser session to immediately bypass a younger declaration. Existing adult accounts may retain previously supplied name and account type. Approved existing administrators may also sign in through Google.

Private prediction records use the account identifier, chosen athletes or teams, competition and question identifiers, submission time, revisions and idempotent save receipts. Netlify supplies hosting, identity and private registration storage; Neon supplies private prediction storage. Your email, real name, school and contact details are not sent to Neon with predictions. No account information is used to generate the public AI forecasts.

Prediction history does not reset at New Year. You may delete your private prediction records using the prediction privacy control. For account deletion or a suspected under-13 account, email hello@shotgunpathway.com. Necessary service logs and provider backups follow provider retention; deletion from active prediction records does not promise immediate erasure of those backups. Official public competition records are separate from private account records.

A coach or program connection request remains for an adult contact and uses name, email, state or region, role, experience, discipline, goal, optional request note, consent version, and submission time. Prediction registration does not grant coaching, referral or administrator permissions.

A team-launch request uses the organizer's name, email, state or region, adult role, optional organization, launch stage, intended disciplines, an approximate athlete-count band, optional support note, consent version, and submission time. Official SCTP registration takes place in the SHOT system. Athlete records, waivers, medical information, and identifying details must remain in the official authorized registration process.

Connection requests and public forms use a private, one-way network fingerprint for abuse prevention. Free-text fields accept adult contact and program information only.

Roles and permissions

The service verifies and assigns coach, range manager, editor and administrator permissions.

Athlete information

• A parent or legal guardian manages contact concerning a minor.
• Athlete profiles belong in official program systems.
• Use the responsible organization’s process for athlete records and corrections.
• Keep a guardian or authorized organization included in communication.
• Report safety concerns through the responsible club or governing organization.

Questions, replies and coach introductions

Contact requests store your adult name, email, role, region, discipline, question, optional record reference, consent choices, reference number and submission time. Private operational records include replies, responsible staff, follow-up dates, delivery status and referral history. A one-way network fingerprint limits repeated submissions.

Administrators manage the private inquiry workspace and coach directory. An introduction requires your separate consent. The selected coach receives your adult contact details and an administrator-reviewed introduction summary. Internal notes and unrelated inquiries stay private.

Confirmed account holders can view requests associated with their own email. Account ownership and consultation records remain separate from official competition results.

Use Contact Shotgun Pathway for privacy questions, correction requests or a request to stop an introduction. Include the inquiry reference or public record reference. Use the responsible official organization for corrections to its source records.
