Coach and program contact

• A parent, legal guardian, or authorized organization should initiate and remain included in contact concerning a minor.
• Use adult contact details in local-connection requests. Store athlete identities and private schedules in authorized team records.
• Keep a parent, guardian or authorized organization included in adult-to-athlete communication.
• Verify coach credentials, SafeSport status, background screening, insurance and affiliation directly with the responsible organization.
• Report safety or conduct concerns through the responsible club, governing body, or the U.S. Center for SafeSport when applicable.

Confirm equipment fit and safe handling with qualified professionals. Follow official range and competition rules, age requirements and applicable purchasing, transport and storage laws.
